Fulfilment, Alterations, and Customer Service Associate

Location: Honolulu, HI
Part-Time: Up to 20hrs/week
Pay: $18/hr

We are seeking a personable, highly organized and detail-oriented Fulfilment, Alterations, and Customer Service Associate to join our dedicated team. This crucial role is responsible for providing great service to our customers, ensuring the fulfillment of our online orders, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. It would include a customer-facing component for our appointment-based customers and our Saturdays when we will be open to the public for shopping. The ideal candidate will also have basic sewing skills and be able to alter and fix garments to our customers’ needs. In addition, the candidate should be resourceful, possess excellent communication skills, and share our commitment to supporting Hawaiʻi's environment and culture.
Key Responsibilities
The Fulfilment, Alterations, and Customer Service Associate will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day logistics, including:
· Order Fulfillment: Accurately process, package, and ship all online orders in a timely and professional manner.
· Customer Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via email and in-person appointments providing exceptional service while effectively handling returns and exchanges.
· Inventory Management: Organize, manage, and maintain accurate records of product inventory, including regular counts and audits.
· Quality Control & Processing: Oversee the incoming processing of new apparel, conducting thorough quality checks (QC) and ensuring efficient preparation for storage or sale.
· Logistics & Vendor Coordination: Conduct local pick-ups and drop-offs of items and orders with various vendors and partners, requiring the use of a reliable personal vehicle.
· Operational Support: Assist with company events, pop-up shops, and other key business initiatives as needed.
· Project Management: Take on special projects assigned by management to improve operational workflows and efficiency.
· Travel: Occasional, limited travel may be required for vendor meetings, events, or operational needs.
· Alterations: Be able to sew, mend, and alter garments to fit customer specifications (sewing machine and table available at our shop for alterations)
Qualifications
Required Skills & Attributes
· Mindset: A proactive, teachable mindset with a willingness to undertake diverse tasks and support the team where necessary.
· Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and safely lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
· Technological Proficiency: Proficient in using computer systems, including email, spreadsheets, and basic e-commerce or inventory management platforms.
· Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously with customers.
· Reliability & Logistics: Must possess a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license for necessary business errands and transportation or a reliable means of transportation.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
· Previous experience in inventory management, shipping/logistics, or a related retail/e-commerce environment.
· Intermediate to advanced sewing skills and ability to mend and alter clothing.
· A strong positive attitude and an open mind, capable of adapting to a flexible schedule to meet business demands.
· Familiarity with or interest to learn about local Hawaiian culture and a passion for environmental conservation.
